CHARITY 2009
We are pleased to announce that we have chosen ST RICHARD'S HOSPICE as our main charity to receive proceeds from our November show 'Curtain up for Christmas'.The Friday performance will take the form of a GALA EVENING in support of the Hospice.
CHOICE RADIO
Sue and Robert were delighted to be asked by Tony Deakin to visit the CHOICE RADIO STUDIO for the WORCESTERSHIRE ROYAL HOSPITAL on Friday 14 November.Did you know it broadcasts every hour of every day just to the patients and staff, and it's all run by enthusiastic volunteers? And it's FREE!
We had a lovely evening, it was such a relaxed atmosphere, even though we didn't know what question was coming next from Tony!! We were supposed to be broadcasting for 45mins, but it was going so well Tony just kept asking questions, so an hour and a half later, our final choice of music was played.
Peter Phillips, Choice Chairman, was a wizz with the sound and music desk and thanks to him, we now have my voice advertising 'Swing into Christmas' on their 'What's On' Guide!!
I just hope the patients enjoyed the evening as much as we did!

MMTG HELPS BBC H & W BREAK BELLY DANCING WORLD RECORD
17 members of MMTG were part of the record breaking throng who crowded into the Malvern Theatre Foyer on Saturday 8th November to break the World Belly Dancing Record. This was previously held by a group of 200+ in Hungary, but that record was easily smashed with 535 dancers. All proceeds are for Children in Need , and of course Pudsey led the way, with Mandi Harris and Dave Bradley (who gave Swing into Christmas and MMTG a wonderful buildup) getting so excited as more and more people kept arriving.
We were treated to wonderful Belly Dancing Shows ( their outfits were fantastic) and 3 numbers by the cast of Buddy, who were appearing at the Theatre. Well done to Mandi, who had worked so hard orgaising the event, and everyone at H & W for a great morning!
